Super Sweet Cupcake Flags for the Chic Hostess

I can't believe we're already over halfway through the week of giveaways! We've got 2 days left and then (drumroll please) the winners will be announced as the website goes live! Who's excited? I'm excited!

Today we're globe-trotting all the way down under to meet Belinda in Australia! She runs the shop ButtercreamBee, which specializes in custom decorations for cupcakes. Unless you've been living under a rock for the last five years, you know that cupcakes are the new black and have popping up everywhere from chic bakeries to swanky weddings. Not only are cupcakes nostalgic, but they also give us health-conscious ladies the chance to have a bit of decadence without all the guilt of a big piece of cake. And I don't know about you, but I luuhhhhvvvveeee cake!

Want to know a secret about me? I really love to cook and bake. I follow a lot of baking blogs online (you may laugh, but I can whip up a mean chocolate chip cheesecake!), a bunch of which are dedicated to the fine art of modern cupcakes. The types of cupcakes that people are coming up with now is beyond impressive! In case you need a little inspiration for your own recipes, here are my favorite baking blogs:
.I <3 Cuppycakes
.No One Puts Cupcake in a Corner
.Vegan Yum Yum
.Have Cake, Will Travel

For those ultra-perceptive readers out there, you'll notice that a lot of these fancy cupcakes are beautifully decorated and that adds to their charm. I couldn't believe how cute these little flags were at ButtercreamBee! They are absolutely perfect for a bridal shower, baby shower, Christmas party, etc. I love the little pearls gracing the tops of each flag! Go shop for a bit at ButtercreamBee and see what I'm gushing about!

Belinda was kind enough to share a little bit about herself with us. Join in on the conversation...

Name: Belinda Choong

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Shop name: ButtercreamBee

What led you to starting your own Etsy shop? I love handmade goods and this gives me the opportunity to craft a little while spending time with my toddler. At the same time I have that little bit of interaction with the 'outside world' and it's very satisfying knowing you are helping someone create a beautiful event!

What's your Starbucks order? When I can get to a Starbucks (they've recently closed down most of their stores here!) - a tall skim Caramel Macchiato.

As far as weddings go, what is your favorite trend? Adding a little of the couple's personality and style to the day: personal messages in stationery; including 'in-jokes' in the ceremony; favourite colours or an element representing a moment they've shared in their decor.

Other than your own, what are your two favorite Etsy shops? I don't think I could choose just two! I just adore browsing the beautiful items on offer. At the moment, though, I'm a real fan of Beckybean (wheresbeckybean.etsy.com).

To enter this giveaway...
1. Leave me a comment telling me your absolute favorite cupcake flavor (I'm a big fan of snickerdoodle cupcakes, for example)
2. You can enter as many times as you'd like, but include your email address so I can get in touch with you if you are the winner
3. At the end of the week, a random number will be selected and the corresponding comment will win!

    Love that you're posting at 2:22 p.m.

Well, I'm not sure what the likelihood of you drawing a #1 out of your hat will be... but Josh and I are having cupcakes at our reception instead of a traditional wedding cake, and it would be fun to have some of those "Love is sweet" flags for the top tier or something.

We will be having chocolate and (my favorite) Funfetti. :)

I adore blueberry (which sounds like a copout), but they have to be made just right - and a lot of blueberry cupcakes aren't!

I have the best recipe for vanilla cupcakes that are amazingly moist! I pretty much will eat any type, though as long as they have tons of sprinkles!
